Sam Townshend
Vice President
Bio

Sam Townshend serves as the Vice President of Everis, where she oversees the high-level day-to-day operations of the company. Her role spans managing critical business contracts, cultivating strategic partnerships, and ensuring operational excellence across the board. With a decade of experience in private banking and four years in the insurance planning industry, Sam brings a wealth of expertise to her leadership.

Known for her people-oriented approach, Sam is a natural integrator and a go-to problem solver. He rhands-on, results-driven attitude makes her a powerhouse in aligning teams, streamlining processes, and driving success. She has an uncanny ability to "get things done," no matter the challenge.

Outside the office, Sam loves exploring new destinations and cherishing quality time with her close circle of family and friends. Her blend of professional acumen and personal warmth makes her an inspiring leader and a valued team player.

Vance LeCocq
VP, Finance
Bio

As VP of Finance, Vance oversees the financial strategy, planning, and operations that drive the company’s growth and stability. With a sharp eye for detail and a strategic mindset, Vance ensures sound financial management while fostering long-term value creatio.

Vance has worked in the insurance industry since 2013, and prior to that was a partner of a national chartered accounting firm where he led the privately held business and high net worth area of the planning practice and was known for bringing a creative yet practical approach to various situations including transaction based matters (i.e. buying and selling business/assets, succession and estate planning matters, strategies using trusts, and overall burden minimization strategies). Soon after obtaining his Chartered Accountant (CA) designation he completed the CICA In-Depth Tax Course and practiced full time in this career since 1998.

Vance is also a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and the Canadian TaxFoundation. He is past chairperson of the Calgary Branch of STEP and past member of STEP CanadaBoard of Directors (2017-2019).

Kathryn Blair
Director, Legal & Regulatory
Bio

Kathryn acts as our internal General Counsel. She has over 15 years of top-tier legal experience, having practised with two national firms in Calgary and a securities boutique in Vancouver. Kathryn’s extensive transactional experience includes representing start-ups to multinationals in complex cross-border M&A transactions, public and private offerings, international business restructurings and integrations, corporate structuring, and tax-driven transactions. This experience and the inherent uncertainty of business transactions have taught Kathryn to approach legal problems from a practical, solution-focused perspective. As the former owner and operator of a microbrewery, Kathryn also brings a personal understanding of the demands of business and an entrepreneurial drive.

Outside of work, Kathryn enjoys travelling and outdoor activities with her family, including hiking, biking and paddle-boarding.

Kathryn received her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of Calgary and her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Alberta. She is a member of the Law Society of Alberta and the Canadian Bar Association.

Kaylee Williamson
Director, Operations

Kaylee is a dynamic professional with over 12 years of financial industry experience, including roles in financial advising, people leadership, and project management. Throughout her career, Kaylee has consistently demonstrated her ability to implement innovative solutions to complex challenges, and has earned a reputation for her integrity, adaptability, and effective collaboration.

As Director of Operations at Everis, she drives operational excellence and fosters innovation, managing resource allocation, performance monitoring, and process optimization.Kaylee's dedication to excellence and commitment to lifelong learning, combined with her Bachelor's degree in psychology, equip her with a unique perspective and skill set. She is driven by a desire to make a positive impact both within the organization and in the broader community, and she consistently strives to exceed expectations in all that she does.

Outside of work, Kaylee enjoys spending time in the mountains, maintaining an active lifestyle and a healthy work-life balance. She is also passionate about giving back to the community and volunteers her time with local charities and nonprofit organizations.

Jaden Andrews
Administrative Assistant
Bio

Jaden serves as an Administrative Assistant at Everis, bringing exceptional communication, organization, and interpersonal skills to his role. He supports the leadership team by managing critical day-to-day operations, coordinating schedules, preparing reports, and ensuring the smooth execution of administrative tasks. Jaden also plays a key role in maintaining strong client relationships, streamlining workflows, and assisting with the implementation of performance-driven strategies. By enabling the leadership team to focus on high-level decision-making, he contributes to operational efficiency and the company’s continued success.
